About this Property

We bought this enormous home in Summer, 2016. This is our 4th modernization project at our favorite NC beach area. The home was a little dated and needed some TLC but had great "bones." We appreciated the west, mid-island location of the home, its location on a public beach access street and the speedy walk to the beach (about two to three mins.). The home has an open concept kitchen, LR and DR with seating for 15 at two dining tables and at the sizable kitchen island. This open area has LVP floor, “Pebble Beach" quartz counter tops, new kitchen cabinet paint and newer (as of 2016) stainless steel appliances. This home is ideal for leisure and offers a lot of room to "spread out" if you have a bigger group of travel mates. The LR is restfully appointed and has two couches, two swivel chairs and a huge TV. (Please note that couches are NOT sleepers.) The home also has WIFI if you need to connect. Laundry room is located adjacent to kitchen on first floor.

In addition to the kitchen, LR and DR, the first floor offers one BR with King bed and private bath, one BR with two twin beds and one BR with one queen bed that share a bath. You can access the back porch from either the king BR or the back queen "mermaid" bedroom. The second floor has one BR with King bed and private bath, one BR with two queen beds and private bath and one BR with three twins that can share either of the upstairs baths. (We enclosed a formerly open loft area to gain a huge BR to accommodate the twins.)

Each BR has a TV and includes Striking local art. The baths were all refreshed in 2016 with ceramic floor and granite counter tops and new paint. We also have a generous outdoor shower area ideal for children (or grown ups) who like to shower outdoors at the beach! The home sleeps 15 visitors in beds, however, there is plenty of floor space in the majority of the BRs for a "pack and play," blow up bed or sleeping bag if a kid needs to sleep in a parent's room. (You will need to bring these additional items.) If you have sleeping arrangement questions, please message me! And please note that 15 occupants is max for this home.

On the front of the home is a enormous screened in porch with rockers and an open outdoor space area. The back porch is HUGE and has comfortable furnishings for peaceful and gazing at the pool area plus a dining table for four. The pool is gated and fenced for privacy and safety. It includes a "waterfall" and the sound of trickling water will melt your cares away. The pool is a great respite from the sun and heat at the beach. There are lounge chairs for sunbathing and an outdoor shower area adjacent for a speedy rinse before swimming. The pool is open, maintained and treated all year (unheated however). It is serviced three times/week during summer rental season. We have a charcoal grille and a shady area under the upstairs porch with a picnic table for your BBQ/cookout or shrimp boil dinners. We also have a fun surfboard "bar area" that offers additional seating for six.

The best part...no rental office to wait in line for keys! We operate on a keybox. You'll drive to home and access it with the keybox code supplied the day of your trip.
