Highlights of “High Maintenance” include a massive private pool area with an outdoor bath, an elevator from the ground floor, and ocean vistas from the top level. It's also conveniently located on E Dolphin Drive — only steps from the beach, the Ocean Crest Pier, and Middleton Park.

Upon entering the main level, you'll be welcomed into the cavernous open floor plan at this property! The living space features a 48" flatscreen TV with a DVD player, ample seating including a reclining chair, and a gas fireplace. The well-appointed kitchen features a 2-level center island with double sink and bar seating, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, plenty of cabinet space, and is entirely equipped with all the supplies you'll need to prepare a home-cooked meal. The dining area completes this space and has seating for 6.

Right down the hallway, you'll find the opulent master suite purposefully designed to be the ideal getaway to rest and relax after a day exploring the island! It has a comfortable king-size bed, 55" flatscreen TV, and 2 walk-in closets. The lavish ensuite bathroom features a sizable tile shower and a whirlpool tub. There's also a 2nd bedroom on this level with a twin trundle bed that's great for the youngsters.

Upstairs features a 2nd living area featuring a 50" flatscreen TV, wet bar with a mini-refrigerator, an air hockey table, and a roomy bathroom with a tub/shower combination! There is 1 king bedroom and 2 queen bedrooms on this floor; each with 43" flatscreen TVs, roomy closets, and ceiling fans. This level is finished by 2 balconies, one overlooking the ocean vistas and another that will give you a birds-eye view of the pool in the backyard.

Speaking of the backyard, this is the ultimate outdoor sanctuary to savor the oceanside breezes and sunshine! There's a massive in-ground pool with many lounge chairs for sunbathing or reading your favorite book, a deck with a covered area, and an outside bath. We know you want to begin your vacation without any stops at the store when you get to the island. To get you started, we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner.

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. Find your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
