This is a classic Carolina coast four bedroom home constructed on stilts, right on the beach front in Oak Island, North Carolina. Down the steps and you are on the beach. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a laundry room downstairs. The whole home was modernized and all new furnishings was purchased in 2016. We are remodeling both bathrooms in Fall 2018. The front room is wide open and with amazing vistas of the ocean. We adore this place and are sure you will savor it, too. The home sleeps 11 people on 3 queen beds, and five single beds (two bunkbeds). There is a futon in the front room. We have had fun visiting here for 20 years and we're sure that you and your family will appreciate it, too.

How to find the best Oak Island rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightvacation home:

  • First, have your family decide on vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Right on the beach, wonderful views of the ocean, great house! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
