Addicted To The Bean

Sometimes a name says it all, and Addicted to the Bean is a favorite destination for Hugh MacRae park-goers and UNCW college students alike to get an extra jolt of caffeine before an early morning run, a crucial final exam, or just a day at the park.

Addicted to the Bean is located on the edge of College Road, close to Oleander Drive, which makes it a convenient destination for most folks who are shopping or exploring this central region of Wilmington. The interior is surprisingly spacious and inviting, with clusters of plush armchairs and tables for patrons who need to do a little work with their brew. The menu features a full range of organic fair-trade coffee, iced coffees, frozen frappes, lattes and mochas and 100% crushed fruit smoothies, as well as a few breakfast items for hungry patrons who need a nice wake-up call. Patrons can munch on locally made croissant breakfast sandwiches, bagels and cream cheese, fresh-baked muffins and pastries, or even a bowl of oatmeal for a nice boost of energy. With well-trained baristas and lots of options to cater to all early morning or midday appetites, Addicted to the Bean will appease coffee addicts and any Wilmington visitor who is in need of a quick pick-me-up.
