Aquatic Safaris SCUBA Center

Visiting scuba pros who want to explore the ledges and historic wrecks that are found off the Cape Fear coastline, and local scuba newbies who want to take the plunge and learn the trade, can accomplish both of these goals and more with a visit to Aquatic Safaris SCUBA Center. Located in the heart of Wilmington close to the coast and the Cape Fear River, and offering everything from certification courses to regular charter trips to the region’s top dive sites, this well-established scuba center has a longstanding reputation as the place to go to explore the local attractions that are found under the water.

Aquatic Safaris SCUBA Center was established in 1988, and features instruction, gear sales, repair, and charters from a central location along Wrightsville Beach. The center has two custom dive boats, including an Island Hopper Pro 48 and a Sea Hawk Dive Master 36′, which take divers to some of the best sites off of Wrightsville Beach, including the Alexander Ramsey (Liberty Ship), the Frying Pan Tower, and the 23 Mile Ledge. Coupled with a wide selection of PADI SCUBA diving courses, as well as FII freediving courses, Aquatic Safaris SCUBA Center will inspire anyone to learn about the fascinating underwater world that lies just off the Cape Fear shoreline.
