Beer Barrio

Beer Barrio is a chic Happy Hour destination in the heart of Downtown Wilmington that’s renowned for ice cold drinks, fresh cuisine, and an abundance of good times. A perfect stop for refueling after a lengthy downtown exploration, this cool bar and eatery will be a favorite local destination for both beer lovers and taco fans.

The menu is a bold collection of classic eats that have been infused with a heavy dose of creativity by Beer Sommelier Hayley Jensen and her husband Chef Stephen Durley, who have both worked in some of the finest restaurants in NYC. Hungry patrons can dine on big starters like chips and guacamole, grilled corn on the cob with grated cheese, mayo, and spices, or hushpuppies with Carolina catfish and jalapenos. For meals, check out the long list of tacos, which includes unique variations like the cheeseburger taco, or the local catfish Po’boy taco, or dig into a pressed burrito, quesadilla or bowl that’s stuffed with a diner’s choice of protein, like beer brined pork or beef, and tequila braised chicken. When partnered with one of Beer Barrio’s 30 beers on tap, or an ice cold margarita, diners can enjoy a delicious coastal meal that’s perfectly refreshing on a hot day in the city.
