Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar

This brightly colored and expansive restaurant along Market Street is an eye-catching destination for seafood fans. Featuring a far-reaching menu of steamed, broiled, grilled and fried seafaring creations, Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar has been satisfying big coastal appetites since 1972.

Hieronymus has both dine-in and big catering menus for grand events, and patrons will have a difficult time deciding where to start. A multi-course menu is recommended, due to the sheer number of appetizers, soups and salads available, which range from the classics like clam strips and calamari, to the more unusual like the Oysteronymus - six oysters on the half shell that are baked with crabmeat and spinach. The steamer menu is equally enticing for seafood fans, with specialties like shrimp, clams, oysters, mussels and crab legs, and the entrees and pasta selections are where the wide variety of available seafood really shines. Opt for the fresh catch, which can be prepared a number of ways, including Greek-style, herb grilled, blackened, and nut crusted. There’s also a selection of beef and chicken entrees for non-coastal palettes, as well as a nice lunch menu, kids’ menu, and regularly changing list of desserts. With plenty of ways to enjoy fresh filets and catches, Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar will be a favorite destination for Wilmington’s visiting seafood fans.
