Kate’s Pancake House

Kate’s Pancake House is a sunny destination for early risers, thanks to a colorful menu and bright interior that provides a great introduction to a day at the beach. Found in the heart of Carolina Beach along the central Lake Park Blvd, and easy to spot thanks to a bright pink and green exterior, this local restaurant will satisfy any huge appetite for delicious breakfast and lunch fare.

Though Kate’s menu features a page that’s dedicated to lunchtime meals, like a crab sandwich, burgers, cheese steaks, and fresh salads, the two pages that are dedicated to breakfast fare is what makes this local eatery famous. All the classics can be found, (like two-egg platters with diner’s choice of protein), but visitors will want to get a little creative and try one of the more inspired pancake, waffle, French Toast, omelet or Benedict selections. Popular items at Kate’s include the southern inspired sweet potato pancakes, the delicious Eggs Florentine benedict, and the wonderfully hearty Cajun Chicken, Green, and Reuben omelets. (Patrons can also easily satisfy a sweet tooth, thanks to decadent options like the Reese’s or S’mores pancakes, or the banana nut French toast.) Always indulgent and just a little creative, Kate’s Pancake House is changing the definition of the traditional, family-friendly breakfast joint.
