Rx Restaurant and Bar

Rx Restaurant and Bar has a goal to feed the soul, with a distinctively fresh menu that uses local ingredients from regional growers, farmers and fishermen. With complementing drinks that are just as unusual as the food, patrons can enjoy a satisfying and creative menu that is chock-full of authentically local southern flavor.

The restaurant is situated in a small corner of the extensive Downtown area and is housed within a former corner drug store. Despite its unimposing exterior, the inside is refined and a little rustic, with a long wooden bar and intimate tables that put guests immediately at ease. The menu is where Rx Restaurant really shines, and it changes daily based completely on what local ingredients are immediately available. Diners may be treated to hearty entrees like fresh sheapshead, pork chops or North Carolina duck, and / or lighter fare like summer peach salads or fresh oysters on the half shell. Because the menu changes so often, patrons are encouraged to plan a visit for every season, to get a true taste of North Carolina’s extensive homegrown cuisine.

Perfect for foodies and anyone who wants to sample all the delicacies that NC has to offer, Rx Restaurant and Bar is setting the bar for fresh local fare.
