Shuckin’ Shack

Seafood lovers who don’t mind getting their hands dirty will want to take a stroll to the Shuckin’ Shack. Located in the heart of Downtown Wilmington along a busy section of Market Street, this casual and cool seafood joint is the perfect spot to dive into a world of fresh and messy seaworthy cuisine.

The menu is loaded with appetizers, samplers, sandwiches, baskets, salads, platters and more, ensuring all seafood fans can enjoy their favorite dishes in any style they choose. While many of the seafood selections can be seasonal, and only available when locally caught, patrons can nevertheless enjoy a world of year-round favorites. For something light to compliment one of the Shuckin’ Shack’s signature cocktails, try the Ahi tuna, the crab balls, or the peel and eat shark bite shrimp or oysters from the appetizer section. For something far heartier, head to the big seafood platters, which can include heaping buckets of crab legs, steamed shrimp, steamed clams, and steamed oysters, which are piled high with corn on the cob and topped with Old Bay seasoning.

A fine destination to discover what Lowcountry Cuisine is all about, the Shuckin’ Shack is a good spot for Wilmington newcomers to sample all the coastal flavors that make this section of the East Coast undeniably tasty.
