Thai Peppers

Visitors who are strolling through Downtown Southport and who are in the mood for something light, global, and different, can make a stop at the unique and flavorful Thai Peppers. This cool little Thai restaurant features a relaxing interior with a bar and historic architecture, (including wood beamed ceilings overhead), which belies a traditional Thai menu that’s bursting with fresh flavor.

Thai Peppers is located along Moore Street in a pale green and modest-sized building that’s hard to miss. The menu is traditional, but nicely varied, with a wide range of Thai specialties, as well as a separate sushi menu with a collection of rolls, which are all offered at budget-friendly prices. Vegetarians will find lots of options from the appetizers to the entrees, including quick bites like Tao Hoo Tord (fried tofu), and Thai Egg Rolls, and hearty dishes like Pad Ruam Mit (mixed vegetables.) Meat eaters have clearly not been forgotten, as there are plenty of entrees that can be created with chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, scallops, or even calamari as the star protein. With detailed descriptions of every dish, and plenty of fare to choose from, Thai Peppers is a fantastic destination for Southport locals and visitors alike to experiment with the versatile and colorful flavors of Thai cuisine.
