Deja Blue is centrally located to everything Wilmington has to offer, we even have a astounding restaurant, Molly Pitcher’s literally steps away. Rachel makes the best Bloody Mary ever! ????

Water bugs are very common at the beach, especially during the summer months. We have our home sprayed inside and out every 3 months. Should you have a problem, let me know and our exterminator will be there to help.

Devon Park, a neighborhood in Wilmington, is home to this vacation home.   • Summer is high season in Wilmington. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review.
