About this Property

  • Sleeps 15
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1250 square feet

3 bedroom and 3 bath home with Ocean Vistas. Fabulous location within simple walking distance to the beach, Publix, stores, park, skate park, splash pad and eateries. Some of our favorites are the BBQ home, OKI Coffee Shop, OKI Scoop Shop and 49th Street Bar and Grille. We are located one block from a public beach access. We have everything you could need in one spot!

Another benefit is complimentary parking! Starting April 1st, the town will be charging $20 per day for beach parking. This home gives you beach access without any additional costs since you are just steps away from the ocean.

We decided to give a nod to one of our favorite college teams, the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, and bring our mountain adore a little closer to the ocean. The name of our home is "NEER the SeA", with the "A" in traditional AppState fashion. Both of my parents are from Boone, and both attended AppState. My Mother was a humongous AppState fan and a lover of Oak Island, so my son and I decided that the name of the home was the ideal tribute to her and her legacy.

More details about the home....

Our top Vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Oak Island. Booking your Southport vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Oak Island:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. New Construction 2022 - Stunning Home, Beach Views & Great Location! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If not, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
