Welcome to Wilmington! We look forward to making your stay with us as warm and welcoming as possible.

The Sandy Feet Cottage is the ideal spot for anyone looking for a fast and economical beach hideaway. Modest in size but humongous in appeal and convenience, is how we describe our little bungalow!
Sandy Feet offers you two well appointed bedrooms. One bedroom features a calming queen size bed with tasteful linens and additional blankets. The other bedroom offers guests a pull out twin size trundle for additional sleeping accommodations or for active sleepers who worry they will parkour to the floor in their sleep. Each bedroom offers storage for your clothing or bigger travel items such as suitcases (but sorry, your peloton will not fit in the closet). Modern ceiling fans in both bedrooms will make you feel like the beach breeze is calling you to sleep. The living area offers a comfortable couch with a intelligent TV equipped with Roku. So curl up for a nap after hours of sightseeing or building sandcastles. The galley style kitchen is a completely working kitchen. So if you decide to skip eating at one of the many close by eateries, go ahead and toss a roast in the oven or grille some quesadillas on the stovetop. A bar height cafe table awaits your fancy meals or can be a handy work space for those taking a break from all the full you’ll be having here. Speaking of fun, feeling ‘not so fresh’ after your day packed full of fun activities? We got you covered!
Did you know that the Airport is only 10 min away? Don’t worry about the beach chairs or the beach Towels, We already have them for you.

How to find the best Southport rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wilmington. To find the best value, shift your family's Southport vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the bestrental:

  • To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Sandy Feet Cottage(Dog Friendly) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
