This updated, top-floor condo is located in handsome Caswell Beach, right across from the Oak Island Golf Course. When you aren't paying a visit to the Oak Island Lighthouse or the Yaupon Fishing Pier, simply sit back and take in marvelous sunrise and sunset vistas.

Inside Pelicans Penthouse, savor utilizing the well-appointed kitchen with its granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The adjacent living room presents a pleasant space to stream your favorite shows on the Roku Intelligent TV. Each of the condo's bedrooms is equipped with its own TV and remote-controlled ceiling fans. From the primary bedroom, appreciate ocean vistas and an en suite bathroom.

A focal point of the condo is the oceanfront balcony where you can sit any time of day and watch the waves crash, the dolphins play, and the seagulls fly. Additional exterior perks include a convenient ground-level storage closet with six beach chairs, two body boards, a skimmer-board, and two umbrellas. Sand toys and beach games for the kids are supplied in the closet, too. An outdoor shower and foot hose are available to wash off the sand after a fun day spent on the beach or in the community's pool.

Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting.

Getting the best value:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Southport restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses.   • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
