Havana’s is an all-encompassing steak, seafood and pasta restaurant that’s just a shell’s throw from the bridge to Wrightsville Beach. Offering lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch in a casual but slightly upscale atmosphere, Havana’s will appeal to diners of all tastes.
The menu features a wide range of appetizer, lunch, and dinner items that include classic seafood staples as well as more eclectic fare. Hungry patrons will want to begin a decadent meal with a glass of wine or a cocktail, and a selection from the Starters menu like the hot crab dip for two, or the Clam Chowder which has won a series of annual “Pleasure Island Chowder Cook-Off” competitions. For lunch, lighter appetites will be tempted by the selection of salads, like the crab cake salad, or the Key West chicken salad, while hungrier diners will crave one of the big sandwiches, wraps, or even the catfish tacos. The dinner fare is just as unique, and includes an array of fresh seafood platters, casual eats, and house specialties like the Pasta Carbonara with smoked bacon and four-cheese tortellini, or the Shrimp and Lobster Grits. A little refined, but able to cater to casual appetites as well, Havana’s is a good example of beach fare that’s just barely off the shoreline.

Riverfront Park, which encompasses a decent chunk of the popular Downtown Riverwalk, is a scenic region which will lure visitors into pulling up a bench seat, staying a while, and enjoying the miles of Cape Fear River views on the horizon.
The lower Cape Fear region was explored in the 1521 and again in 1526 by the Spanish. They chose to move on, due to poor soil and lack of adequate fresh water supplies.
