The Space:
All Going Coastal properties include bed linens, bathing towels, paper products, and soaps/shampoos. Please bring your own beach gear, or we can recommend our favorite local vendors for units.

The Neighborhood:
The bungalow is close to everything. Mix of visitors and year round residents.

This condo is located in Carolina Beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, while Carolina Beach Boardwalk and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are popular area attractions. Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School and Tregembo Animal Park are also worth visiting.

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your trip.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
