"2 Buoys" is marsh front living at its best! We are located off the beaten path located in Palmetto Cove. House was finished in 2015. Our home is located right on the marsh with pretty sun rises! Our community offers a private dock and is ideal for crabbing, paddle boarding or kayaking. We have an open floor plan downstairs with an fresh kitchen. There are two master king suites. One being upstairs and the other downstairs. There are two other bedrooms upstairs including a queen and also a bunk room(4 twins). Outside there is a separate crofter with a king bed and bathroom.

SMOKING: Smoking is NOT allowed in any BHI Services, Inc Property. Smoking is allowed outside as long as butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground or bring them into the rental. If there is any tobacco odor in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $250 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not allowed due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
CONDUCT OF GUESTS: The rental is not intended for events, nor gatherings at any time of anyone except those who have paid to occupy the property. Exceptions are made on an individual basis - please contact BHI Services, Inc for prior approval. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to

vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. Booking your Southport vacation home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection.   • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Southport destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
