Low Tide is located on a peaceful little street and just a fast walk or bicycle ride away from the Ocean, the Boardwalk (with many local eateries & stores), the Carolina Beach State Park, Kure Beach & more! This surf inspired space has everything you need to kick back & relax at the beach! Beach chairs & beach wagon supplied!

HOME RULES:
- NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $200 fee for deodorization treatment.
- Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. Early check ins and late check outs are unfortunately not available due to our cleaners' schedule. No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time.
- Self check-in with keyless PIN code lock
- Parking available for 2 cars in the gravel driveway.
- Visitors must be approved by host.
- Be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise volume low and no walking through neighbors yards.
- Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells.

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, while Carolina Beach Boardwalk and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are popular area attractions. Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School and Tregembo Animal Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to go & When to book:

• Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are high season in the Southport area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
• Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
• Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
• Many management companies supply Southport area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. Some things to know before you go:

• Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.

• Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
• Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
