This broad oceanfront home offers plenty of room to stretch out and relax after a long day on the beach with three floors of living.

The main, middle floor welcomes you to the kitchen finished with stainless steel appliances to go along with white countertops and cabinets. While you are making dinner you can still appreciate the view of the beach through the multitude of windows that provide natural light into the kitchen and dining area. The dining area, that offers seating for 12 feeds into the living room where you will find an additional table ideal for four other guests to savor their meal or for a game of cards. The enormous sectional provides a comfortable spot to watch a movie on the flat screen TV or see the waves crashing on the beach. The master bedroom flows off the living space and invites you to a king bed, private bathroom, flat screen TV and vistas of the ocean!

The oceanfront deck opens off the dining room and provides a ideal spot for a cup of coffee in the morning as you watch the pelican glide by towards the Oceancrest Pier.

The third level presents a seating area with a couch that is great for an afternoon nap along with three additional bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms feature two queen beds, respectively, and share a guest bathroom across the balcony. The other bedroom features a king bed, a private bathroom, a flat screen TV and top floor vistas of the beach through the windows.

The lower level is the ideal getaway for the kids or an overall great spot to have some fun with your group once your time in the sun is over. The huge sectional and accent chair are centered around the flat screen TV. A card table and foosball table offer countless hours of fun and laughs. Off the entertainment area, the final bedroom offers two double beds and a private bathroom.

Strategies to get the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses: Oceanfront House on East Beach, Oak Island has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Southport beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
