Step out onto the home-length covered back deck, where rocking chairs beckon you to stop and savor briny breezes or grab a snack and munch at the picnic table while listening to waves breaking on the shore. Back inside, the bright, generous dining area, cornered by walls of windows, will seat a enormous family, with another full dining area on the attached screen porch for alfresco meals. The screen porch also provides a separate seating area, offering solace from the active living area after a fun day on the beach. The home's chef kitchen accesses the outdoor table as well as a breakfast bar seating. It has stainless appliances, plenty of prep space, broad cookware, silverware, dishes, and storage. Also on the first floor, a cheery Primary King suite pampers with three closets, its own ensuite with a tub, shower and double vanity, along with its own separate entry to the screened porch. A powder room completes this floor. Upstairs are three more sunlit corner Queen bedrooms and a full sundeck that features expansive seascapes of South Beach and handsome nights filled with stars due to Bald Head's dark sky. This perch is where you'll end your days mesmerized by the beauty of the sun setting over the water and a nighttime sky full of constellations, the Milky Way, and vistas of planets often unseen in today's urban environs. It's spectacular nearly every evening! Back inside, another Queen suite bestows sun deck entrée and striking Atlantic aspects as well as its own full bath ensuite. Beside it, also accessing the enchanting oceanfront deck, is a queen bedroom with a Jack and Jill bath that connects to the third queen bedroom. The setup can be ideal for families with younger kids. Additionally, the laundry is conveniently located on this floor. For those desiring more privacy, the home's cozy, casual crofter over the garage provides its own deck and a thoughtfully appointed Queen suite that features a sitting/TV space and coffee bar with a sink and mini refrigerator. One final subtle treat is a cozy dune deck down the boardwalk just before accessing the beach. South Wind is centrally located off the main beach road, between the two clubs, close to the Conservancy and stores.
