If you’re looking for a vacation so calming you just might fall Asleep At The Reel, you’ll find it at this handsome waterway home with a private dock on Oak Island’s peaceful west end, only a five-min. drive from the beach. Sit back and savor the island breeze and dappled sunlight from one of the many comfortable outdoor nooks tucked around the property or cast your line into the Intracoastal Waterway from your own backyard before cooking up the catch of the day for dinner.

Look out over the glorious waterway view from the comfort of a bright and airy living room, where the enormous picture window takes center stage. There's also a huge Intelligent TV where you can stream the big game through YouTube TV or log into your own platforms to keep up with your favorite shows. A queen couch bed is available if additional sleeping space is needed. A fireplace is located on the wall between the living and dining area so you can appreciate the dancing flames on chillier evenings.

The oval dining table seats six, with three bar-height chairs available at the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen offers a double sink, stainless steel appliances and plenty of counterspace to prepare meals during your stay. A half bathroom is available off the main living area.

The primary suite offers a king bed and direct access to the elevated back deck overlooking the water, as well as an en suite bathroom with a step-in shower stall. The second bedroom also offers direct access to the deck and is furnished with a twin daybed with a pop-up twin trundle that creates a king bed when engaged.

The final two bedrooms upstairs each are equipped with a queen bed as well as a modest desk or table tucked into the window nook in each room. If you have to bring work or school along from home, at least you can enjoy looking over the water as you complete it! A final full bathroom with hall access and a standard tub/shower combo at the top of the stairs is shared between these bedrooms.

In the basement of the home, you’ll find a game room complete with a foosball table, giant wall-mounted connect four game and a card table. A full-size washer and dryer along with a utility sink are also located here, so there’s no need to haul sandy swimsuits or wet beach towels back home with you!

From the game room, walk out to the shady, covered patio underneath the home. Parlor on the padded pallet swing as you sway in the breeze or sit back in the Adirondack chairs and rockers to chat as burgers prepare on the included gas grille.

The grassy backyard stretches to the water, where another porch swing and a classic park bench wait at the edge of the property beside the long private dock. Although docking a bigger boat is not recommended due to the low wake zone, the floating dock offers space to tie up kayaks, access the water or throw in your crab pot. There's even a pair of tall chairs offers striking vistas as you sip your morning coffee or a tropical beverage. A fish cleaning station is also available on the dock, so you can have your fresh catch ready to prepare before you even bring it up to the home.

An outdoor dining table is available in the shaded portion of the upper deck, where you’ll notice a final wicker swing and pair of tall chairs positioned to take full advantage of the vistas, and a pair of padded lounge chairs to take full advantage of the sun while you work on your tan. Sturdy constructed-in wooden gates at the top of the stairs allow you to take your eyes off the little ones long enough to enjoy the sunset.
