You can take drive your car onto the Fort Fisher Ferry and go over to the NC Aquarium very conveniently and impressive for the little ones. You could also take the ferry over to Bald Head Island however you will have to park and leave your car. Golf carts are available for rent to drive around or you can take the tram. Bald Head Island features a historic lighthouse, "Old Baldy".
Oak Island also has a historic lighthouse and magnificent beaches. Plenty of eateries and shopping as well; painless to make your trip a memorable one!
