About this Property

Don't bring all that beach stuff!

This villa comes with beach gear (check out our video) and cleaning! Tired of climbing stairs? This lower unit is conveniently accessible and the lower height is more toddler friendly. Our villa also includes cable TV and internet (if you're trying to keep up with your e-mail).

Hey, you've got enough to pack. You know....those sandy beach chairs, sticky body boards and half sprung umbrellas? Leave them at home! We give beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a beach cart, a grille and a cooler. You actually have room in the SUV for the children and grandma.

Inside this comfort unit is handsomely decorated with an island décor, peaceful beds and a entirely supplied kitchen. We tried to create an inviting island haven while still maintaining functionality. So....sometimes we opted for room appeal over just adding additional linens. Hopefully you can get a feel of this from our photos and video.

As mentioned, our villa is on the lowermost level (one above the parking level) so there aren’t a lot of stairs to climb. The elevator (great for check-in) is always available but it seems the stairs get more daily use. There's an outdoor shower to hose down those sand covered creatures you had to drag off the beach. Plus you have full access to the storage room on the parking level (where the beach gear is).

To the beach is simple, we're one of the closer villas to the beach. The three min. walk (you can see the shorefront from the front porch) places you at a impressive section of OIB that is currently undeveloped (see the video/picture of the beach). Also, a four min. walk has you at the beach club facilities, including a superb sea front pool/Jacuzzi as well as the Tiki bar and restaurant. There also is beach access at the pool and you have full use of the parking facilities, if you want to drop children/gear off.

In the evening, savor the lagoon view from the outdoor space swing. There are some striking sunsets at OIB, primarily, because it's more of an east/west beach. The lit fountain in the lagoon is inviting to see/hear at nighttime. During the day, the little ones appreciate watching the lagoon turtles sunbathing themselves.

Want to catch up on your golf or tennis? As you probably already know, there are a lot of premiere golf courses in the area. The tennis courts are on site, part of the Islander Resort.

As far as sleeping goes, the villa accommodates 8 in beds (King, King, Queen, 2 Singles) and one additional person in a rollaway.

A little more about the beach front pool, infant pool, Jacuzzi, restaurant and Tiki bar. It's a enormous sized pool with tons of outdoor space space and lounge chairs. It overlooks the surf so you can kinda get the most magnificant of both worlds from there. Plus, there's beach access on both sides of the pool. This area is only available to owners and visitors (like you!) of the Islander resort. There is a big parking lot that you are complimentary to use. So....it can be a great drop off point for children and beach gear for both the pool and the beach.

Do you miss the hub-bub of Myrtle Beach? We don't particularly. But, if you do, it's just a 45 min. drive and you can have all the shopping, eateries, traffic and attractions that you want. Speaking of eateries, there are tons of good ones on and off the island. We will be glad to share our favorites with you (we've been going to OIB for the last thirty five years!).

Sea Isle Beach is a great family beach. It is excellent for long beach walks, meticulous sunsets, great sea swimming and fishing and some great family memories.

It's all part of the Islander resort, your peerless Sea Isle Beach units option.

Note: We strive to keep the storage room well supplied but the exact items there for your stay may differ from those in the video.

How to Save Money on Your Rental

  • Many rental managers and vacation houses provide Southport area printed travel books that feature promotions, either offered independently by merchants, or by a relationship between the property manager and the itself. These guides may provide an excellent start to your rental home search.
  • Are your trip dates changeable? Off-peak times offer sizable bargains.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the U.S. Military may be qualified for discount rates. Be sure to confirm with property owner to see if your vacationing gang is eligible for a discount.
  • Is there a certain activity that you are mainly anticipating ? If there's a specific Southport activity that you love, look for properties that cater especially to your needs.
  • Give thought to getting trip insurance together with your leasing agreement. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the basic rental price, offers travellers reimbursement of their trip costs for any missed as a result of health-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing extra hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, such as an unanticipated hotel room stay or additional fuel.

How to Book a Vacation Home

You may be shocked to uncover just how many rentals are available at your destination. Rental accommodations have gained in popularity with the rise of worldwide research sites like Tripadvisor and VRBO.

Rental homes are frequently owner operated or managed by property management companies. Property management companies are well-liked by owners because they manage the online marketing and operations..

Seasoned Southport vacationers have figured out a few tips and tricks throughout the years with regards to renting rental properties, however many beginners will be delighted to know that several "tips" are in plain sight, if you understand how to look.

Where to find and reserve the right rental home:

Do you think " Beautiful 4 BR Oib Condo with Beachfront Pool! " is the best vacation property for your next trip? Read this checklist to confirm it fits your preferences.

The Sooner You Begin, The Better The Choices

Like many trendy vacation spots, In Southport the best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months in advance is usually recommended, whenever possible. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years are excellent times to plan and book your rental..

Choose your Area and Travel Week

Quite often, the most challenging portion of preparing for your vacation is deciding on where to go, and when. After the big decisions are hammered out, the rest becomes simpler.

Bedrooms and Bed Sizes Matter

Take a head count. How many beds and bedrooms will you be needing? Keep in mind that most properties advertise maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in the living room space. It is important to determine what is most appropriate for the company. Specific descriptions of bedrooms and beds are usually available online. If not, get in touch with the property owner before you book.

Stick to a Budget

The majority of rentals are advertised with a cost range. Confirm the cost for your selected trip. It may be at the top end of the range. Ensure that you get cost-sharing commitments from travel companions well before reserving an expensive vacation property. One member of your company needs to be given the task of getting contributions and acknowledging responsibility for the entire rental payment at time of reservation.

Its All About Amenities

What amenities is your group interested in? Do you want a rental with open-air lounge? Are you more enthusiastic about wildlife or night life? Does the rental have bikes and beach toys for use throughout your stay? Make a list of priority features to guide filter your search.

Special Conditions

Frequently the older generation has trouble with stairs. Be sure to remember and ask about wheelchair access, pool lifts and specialized equipment requirements..

What About 4-Legged Family Members?

Remember to include your furrry friends. Pet policies are different at each rental property. Study descriptions carefully. Many restrictions may dismiss a potential vacation property. Make sure to read descriptions and contracts carefully. Additional fees or deposits may be applied to your contract. When in doubt, ask the property manager and get it in writing.

Start the Search

After the place, dates and attendees are decided, search multiple resources for the very best rental selection. Together with Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we suggest searching Google for "Southport local rentals" for local vacation rental management companies. Local rental management companies take pride in a first-class rental experience.

Negotiate

Re-read the description to confirm the rental home has everything you need. If it is something is missing, the vacation rental management company may know of very similar properties that better suit your desires and budget..

Some rental home owners will negotiate rates, and some will not. If they are hesitant to budge on a peak-season trip, try asking for an extra night. Negotiating rates is most effective throughout the off-season when many rental homes sit vacant.

Read the Total Agreement

Read the whole contract and make sure you fully understand who is responsible for:

  • Utility bills
  • Internet Connectivity
  • Phone service
  • Pool Heating
  • Pay Per View Movies
  • Cleaning Fees
  • Trash collection
  • Maintenance (get a phone number)
  • Key exchange
  • Parking requirements

Get a total that includes state taxes, pet and other additional fees.

Trip Insurance

Ensure that you be aware of the cancellation policy prior to booking. You will probably be offered trip insurance. Trip insurance protects the renter against emergencies and weather events, It gives reassurance should catastrophe strike.

Reserve It

As soon as you feel you've found "the one", begin the booking process. You'll probably be asked to submit a security deposit at time of reservation.

Know Who to Call

Put the property manager's contact info into your cell phone and wallet for easy access to answers during your visit.

Congrats! All that is left is enjoying your vacation!

During your Stay

  • To ensure no damages are linked to your visit, create a record of any trouble spots of the rental. If you find damage, or if repairs are needed contact the property manager straight away. This may protect against disagreements during check out.
  • You could need guidance for a fireplace, Television or spa tub. Call your rental manager. They are there to assist. A phone call can save several hours of trouble.
  • Remember to respect your nearby neighbors. . Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by vacationers next to your home.
  • Ask a local. Locals can frequently point you in the right direction.
  • Make certain to protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the vacation rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.

Leaving Paradise

  • Double-check each space of the rental property to confirm you've collected all valuables.
  • Make sure to walk through the rental home one final time and check for damages. Whenever possible, do this walk-out inspection with the property manager present. If the property owner is not available, make sure you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • How would you feel about your choice? Most property management companies and rental home sites permit renters to offer comments. If the rental home and/or property manager was first-rate, they will appreciate your positive reviews. If something was disagreeable and they failed to correct it in a acceptable manner, or when the property was not as described, you may want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Learn and Improve

Hold a debrief with your travel companions. How did they like the vacation rental? Maybe everything was perfect and you're happy to reserve the same property for next season. If the rental wasn't ideal, and you'll better understand how to improve your search next time.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
