About this PropertyDon't bring all that beach stuff!
This villa comes with beach gear (check out our video) and cleaning! Tired of climbing stairs? This lower unit is conveniently accessible and the lower height is more toddler chummy. Our villa also includes cable TV and internet (if you're trying to keep up with your e-mail).
Hey, you've got enough to pack. You know....those sandy beach chairs, sticky body boards and half sprung umbrellas? Leave them at home! We give beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a beach cart, a grille and a cooler. You actually have room in the SUV for the children and grandma.
Inside this extravagance unit is elegantly decorated with an island décor, peaceful beds and a entirely supplied kitchen. We tried to create an inviting island haven while still maintaining functionality. So....sometimes we opted for room appeal over just adding additional linens. Hopefully you can get a feel of this from our photos and video.
As mentioned, our villa is on the lowermost level (one above the parking level) so there aren’t a lot of stairs to climb. The elevator (great for check-in) is always available but it seems the stairs get more daily use. There's an outdoor shower to hose down those sand covered creatures you had to drag off the beach. Plus you have full access to the storage room on the parking level (where the beach gear is).
To the beach is straighforward, we're one of the closer villas to the beach. The three min. walk (you can see the shorefront from the front porch) places you at a impeccable section of OIB that is currently undeveloped (see the video/picture of the beach). Also, a four min. walk has you at the beach club facilities, including a charming sea front pool/Jacuzzi as well as the Tiki bar and restaurant. There also is beach access at the pool and you have full use of the parking facilities, if you want to drop children/gear off.
In the evening, relish the lagoon view from the outdoor space swing. There are some magnificant sunsets at OIB, primarily, because it's more of an east/west beach. The lit fountain in the lagoon is inviting to see/hear at nighttime. During the day, the little ones adore watching the lagoon turtles sunbathing themselves.
Want to catch up on your golf or tennis? As you probably already know, there are a lot of premiere golf courses in the area. The tennis courts are on site, part of the Islander Resort.
As far as sleeping goes, the villa accommodates 8 in beds (King, King, Queen, 2 Singles) and one additional person in a rollaway.
A little more about the beach front pool, infant pool, Jacuzzi, restaurant and Tiki bar. It's a huge sized pool with tons of outdoor space space and lounge chairs. It overlooks the surf so you can kinda get the premium of both worlds from there. Plus, there's beach access on both sides of the pool. This area is only available to owners and visitors (like you!) of the Islander resort. There is a big parking lot that you are complimentary to use. So....it can be a great drop off point for children and beach gear for both the pool and the beach.
Do you miss the hub-bub of Myrtle Beach? We don't particularly. But, if you do, it's just a 45 min. drive and you can have all the shopping, eateries, traffic and attractions that you want. Speaking of eateries, there are tons of good ones on and off the island. We will be glad to share our favorites with you (we've been going to OIB for the last thirty five years!).
Sea Isle Beach is a great family beach. It is fabulous for long beach walks, polished sunsets, great sea swimming and fishing and some great family memories.
It's all part of the Islander resort, your most lavish Sea Isle Beach units option.

Money Saving Rental Tips
- Many rental managers and rental homes provide Southport area vacation discount guides which feature coupons, either offered independently by merchants, or by way of a relationship between the property manager and the business itself. These guides can provide an excellent start to your rental search.
- Want to stay away from the crowds? Off-peak times offer up remarkable savings.
- Plenty of property management companies and owners offer price reductions for active and veteran members of the U.S. Military, or returning vacationers to the same rental home. Be sure to ask property manager to see if your visiting crew qualifies for a markdown.
- Is there a certain experience that you are mainly anticipating during your stay? If there's a particular Southport atteaction that you just love, keep an eye out for rental properties that cater especially to you.
- Property management companies and individual rental home owners commonly offer their clients the chance to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay rate, provides guests reimbursement of their trip costs for any nights missed resulting from health-related emergencies or hurricanes, in addition to ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, such as an unforeseen hotel room stay or additional gasoline.
The Rental Process
Some people are shocked to learn the number of rental properties are available in Southport. Rental home accommodations have gained in popularity with the rise of worldwide search sites like Homeaway and VRBO.
Vacation rentals are usually owner operated or managed by rental management companies. Owners often select management companies to facilitate marketing and advertising, housekeeping services and regular maintenance.
We've assembled a short guide to assist you in getting most out of your rental property experience.
How to find and reserve the perfect vacation home:
Do you think " Beautiful 4 BR Oib Condo with Beachfront Pool! August Week still Available!" is the best rental for your upcoming visit? Read through this checklist to confirm it fits all of your preferences.
Begin Your Search Early
Like many trendy hot spots, In Southport the best vacation homes are booked very early. For the best selection, begin your planning and search Six-12 months prior to your vacation. Holiday gatherings are a great time for family groups to plot their Summer family trips..
Find your Area and Decide Dates
Quite often, the hardest part of scheduling your trip is deciding on where to go, and when. As soon as the big decisions are resolved, everything else is simplier and easier.
Just How Many Bedrooms?
Keep a list of attendees. How many beds and bedrooms will you be needing? Be mindful that a lot of vacation rentals list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in the living area. You'll need to determine what is suitable for the group. Most vacation home listings will outline each of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattresses.
Decide on Your Budget
The majority of vacation rentals are advertised with a price range. Confirm the cost for your desired week. It could be at the high end of the range. Ensure that you get cost-sharing commitments from company before reserving an expensive rental. Most rental agreements call for a single individual to be responsible for the full reservation.
Compose a list of "Wishes" and "Necessities"
What property features is your group interested in? Is a screened-in deck a requirement? Does the unit need to be beach front, the downtown area, or close to night life? Does the property have bicycles and body boards available as part of your stay? Create a list of priority amenities to facilitate filter your search.
Sometimes the senior generation has problems with stairs. Ensure that you remember and inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and special equipment needs..
Are you or other people in the gang visiting with a furry companion? Although many vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and fees vary per rental. Read your contract very carefully! Extra charges may apply when animals are added.
It Is Time to Search
A number of internet resources exist to match renters with rental home owners.. Besides Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Southport local rental homes" for local vacation home management companies. Local companies will have a unique collection of rental homes daily and weekly.
Re-read the description to ensure the vacation home has everything you need. If lacking, the vacation rental management company might know of similar homes that fit your desires and budget..
Some rental owners will negotiate prices, and some won't. If they are hesitant to budge on a peak-season stay, try asking for an extra night. Off-peak weeks are likely to be negotiable more often than peak-season..
Read through the Entire Contract
Read the complete agreement and make sure you are aware who is responsible for:
- Utility bills
- WIFI Access
- Phone service
- Hot Tub Heating
- Cable and pay-per-view TV
- Trash Pickup (and which day?)
- Maintenance policies
- Check in & Check Out Key Exchange
- Parking Space
Be sure that your quoted fee includes all taxes and fees.
Cancellation policies are different with each property. You will likely be offered trip insurance. Trip insurance safeguards the renter against emergency situations and weather events, It gives you relief should tragedy strike.
Complete the Booking
When everything looks correct, it's finally time for you to sign a rental agreement. You'll probably be required to submit a security deposit at time of booking.
Get Contact Details
Make sure to get the manager's contact telephone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend keeping the contact's information in your smart phone and wallet.
Good job on booking your rental! You're on the right path to a fantastic vacation!
During your Stay
- Take notes of any wear and tear immediately after you arrive. We also advise promptly calling the rental manager with a report of any damage, along with your request for any critical repairs.
- Should there be any ambiguity about vehicle parking, policies of the house, house access, swimming pool operation, etc... we suggest you ask the property manager promptly. A quick phone call avoids many problems.
- Please remember to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent locals. Respecting late-night quiet hours and vehicle parking regulations can make a trip a little more relaxing.
- Ask a local. Natives can frequently point you in the right direction.
- Enjoy your stay! Remember to protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the vacation home secured while you are away, just like you would in your own home.
At the end of your stay
- Make sure you've packed all your personal belongings. Sweep all the rooms in the home for forgotten possessions. Inspect bath rooms, the garage, kitchen cabinets, porches, the pool area, and anywhere else your personal property might "hide".
- When your things are all out, perform a walk-through of the rental home to be certain no damage occurred during your stay. Whenever possible, do this walk-out review with the property manager present. If the property manager is not available, make sure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a blast? Many rental management company sites request testimonials after your stay . Owners and property managers will thank you for favorable critiques. If something went wrong, we suggest being pleasant but straightforward with regards to rental experience. Top property owners and managers will try very hard to fix the situation.
Hold a vacation recap meeting with your travel companions. Did they feel about the rental home? Hopefully this guide steered you to a fantastic vacation home. Otherwise, you have gained invaluable rental search experience that will help with another search.
