How to find the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Southport area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Ocean View Condo w\/Ocean Front Pool & Beach Club has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Southport attraction you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Have a great stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
