About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 1346 square feet

We are a family of six (two boys and two girls), who relocated to NC from Florida just over 15 years ago. We took numerous family beach trips when we first moved here, and never felt like the beaches compared to what we left in FL. That is, until we discovered BHI just a few years ago. We fell in appreciate with the beauty and diversity of the island, and made it a goal to have a home here. Now we are excited to share this home with you...

Our home is ideal for families, couples, or even a get-away for just the guys/girls! It's conveniently located in the Maritime Forest, just mins. from Cape Fear Commons, the Conservancy, and the coveted East Beach. There is a calming outdoor spot to grille (one gas and one charcoal grille supplied) right in front of the home. There are two screened-in porches, one in the front and another in the back, where you can sit and relax, appreciating the sounds of the birds and the ocean breeze. The main living area has an refreshed kitchen , bar area, dining room, and a charming living room. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. One bedroom has 1 queen bed and the other has 2 twins and 2 trundles. The community has a wooden boardwalk, which can be accessed from the back porch.

Also included are bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, basic toiletries, beach chairs/umbrella, and a new pack and play and high chair. Your rental also comes with two golf carts, both 4 seaters. A Lifestyle Bald Head Island Club membership is attached to this home, and guest passes can be purchased directly from the club. If you choose to purchase, your guest passes will include access to the golf course, resort pool, croquet & tennis courts, and eateries.

We personally manage the units for our home, and appreciate developing a relationship with each renter. We are always available by text, phone, or e-mail and have on-island support staff to handle any issues that may arise during your stay. We are confident that you will be more than pleased with our home, and we're sure you will fall in adore with Bald Head Island, just as we have. We look forward to sharing our home with you!

Our top Bald Head Island rental home booking tips and tricks:

When to go & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Bald Head Island. Reserve your Southport vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Cozy & Coastal Cottage near East Beach *BHI Club available* has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
