About this Property

**We do not rent through Craigslist- don't be scammed**

The bungalow is located in a peaceful residential area a brief drive from the boardwalk. Linens and towels supplied. Thoroughly supplied kitchen with range, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee makers (drip), can opener and all glassware, dishes, cookware, and silverware. Washer and Dryer.

Now with Spectrum Internet and Cable TV, Ruko TV with multiple complimentary movie channels, and a soundbar audio system.

Junior's Place is a calming beach bungalow that gives our visitors the "good old days at the beach" feel, tidy and appealing.

The bungalow was constructed in the early 1960s as a typical beach home for the time. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom- no closets. It was completely remodeled in the summer of 2018 with new wiring, plumbing, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, appliances, drywall, insulation, windows, floor, and a Ductless Heat/AC unit. Due to the lack of closet space, we have included plenty of hooks, hang bars, and storage cubes.
The screened porch is a excellent place to hang out and relax with a partial sea view. There is an outdoor shower in the back of the home for cleaning up after a walk to the beach and hooks on the porch for wet towels, beach toys, etc.
The back yard has room for badminton, volleyball, corn hole toss, etc.
It's a great little place and we know you will appreciate it.

*Smoking is allowed on the screened porch*

Money Saving Rental Tips

  • Many rental managers and rental homes provide Southport area vacation discount guides which feature coupons, either offered independently by merchants, or by way of a relationship between the property manager and the business itself. These guides can provide an excellent start to your rental search.
  • Want to stay away from the crowds? Off-peak times offer up remarkable savings.
  • Plenty of property management companies and owners offer price reductions for active and veteran members of the U.S. Military, or returning vacationers to the same rental home. Be sure to ask property manager to see if your visiting crew qualifies for a markdown.
  • Is there a certain experience that you are mainly anticipating during your stay? If there's a particular Southport atteaction that you just love, keep an eye out for rental properties that cater especially to you.
  • Property management companies and individual rental home owners commonly offer their clients the chance to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay rate, provides guests reimbursement of their trip costs for any nights missed resulting from health-related emergencies or hurricanes, in addition to ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, such as an unforeseen hotel room stay or additional gasoline.

The Rental Process

Some people are shocked to learn the number of rental properties are available in Southport. Rental home accommodations have gained in popularity with the rise of worldwide search sites like Homeaway and VRBO.

Vacation rentals are usually owner operated or managed by rental management companies. Owners often select management companies to facilitate marketing and advertising, housekeeping services and regular maintenance.

We've assembled a short guide to assist you in getting most out of your rental property experience.

How to find and reserve the perfect vacation home:

Do you think ""JUNIOR'S PLACE" Peaceful & Private, 2 blocks to beach -*PETS OK - LOW PET FEE*" is the best rental for your upcoming visit? Read through this checklist to confirm it fits all of your preferences.

Begin Your Search Early

Like many trendy hot spots, In Southport the best vacation homes are booked very early. For the best selection, begin your planning and search Six-12 months prior to your vacation. Holiday gatherings are a great time for family groups to plot their Summer family trips..

Find your Area and Decide Dates

Quite often, the hardest part of scheduling your trip is deciding on where to go, and when. As soon as the big decisions are resolved, everything else is simplier and easier.

Just How Many Bedrooms?

Keep a list of attendees. How many beds and bedrooms will you be needing? Be mindful that a lot of vacation rentals list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in the living area. You'll need to determine what is suitable for the group. Most vacation home listings will outline each of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattresses.

Decide on Your Budget

The majority of vacation rentals are advertised with a price range. Confirm the cost for your desired week. It could be at the high end of the range. Ensure that you get cost-sharing commitments from company before reserving an expensive rental. Most rental agreements call for a single individual to be responsible for the full reservation.

Compose a list of "Wishes" and "Necessities"

What property features is your group interested in? Is a screened-in deck a requirement? Does the unit need to be beach front, the downtown area, or close to night life? Does the property have bicycles and body boards available as part of your stay? Create a list of priority amenities to facilitate filter your search.

Special Considerations

Sometimes the senior generation has problems with stairs. Ensure that you remember and inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and special equipment needs..

Fido Approved

Are you or other people in the gang visiting with a furry companion? Although many vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and fees vary per rental. Read your contract very carefully! Extra charges may apply when animals are added.

It Is Time to Search

A number of internet resources exist to match renters with rental home owners.. Besides Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Southport local rental homes" for local vacation home management companies. Local companies will have a unique collection of rental homes daily and weekly.

Negotiate

Re-read the description to ensure the vacation home has everything you need. If lacking, the vacation rental management company might know of similar homes that fit your desires and budget..

Some rental owners will negotiate prices, and some won't. If they are hesitant to budge on a peak-season stay, try asking for an extra night. Off-peak weeks are likely to be negotiable more often than peak-season..

Read through the Entire Contract

Read the complete agreement and make sure you are aware who is responsible for:

  • Utility bills
  • WIFI Access
  • Phone service
  • Hot Tub Heating
  • Cable and pay-per-view TV
  • Housekeeping
  • Trash Pickup (and which day?)
  • Maintenance policies
  • Check in & Check Out Key Exchange
  • Parking Space

Be sure that your quoted fee includes all taxes and fees.

Trip Insurance

Cancellation policies are different with each property. You will likely be offered trip insurance. Trip insurance safeguards the renter against emergency situations and weather events, It gives you relief should tragedy strike.

Complete the Booking

When everything looks correct, it's finally time for you to sign a rental agreement. You'll probably be required to submit a security deposit at time of booking.

Get Contact Details

Make sure to get the manager's contact telephone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend keeping the contact's information in your smart phone and wallet.

Good job on booking your rental! You're on the right path to a fantastic vacation!

During your Stay

  • Take notes of any wear and tear immediately after you arrive. We also advise promptly calling the rental manager with a report of any damage, along with your request for any critical repairs.
  • Should there be any ambiguity about vehicle parking, policies of the house, house access, swimming pool operation, etc... we suggest you ask the property manager promptly. A quick phone call avoids many problems.
  • Please remember to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent locals. Respecting late-night quiet hours and vehicle parking regulations can make a trip a little more relaxing.
  • Ask a local. Natives can frequently point you in the right direction.
  • Enjoy your stay! Remember to protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the vacation home secured while you are away, just like you would in your own home.

At the end of your stay

  • Make sure you've packed all your personal belongings. Sweep all the rooms in the home for forgotten possessions. Inspect bath rooms, the garage, kitchen cabinets, porches, the pool area, and anywhere else your personal property might "hide".
  • When your things are all out, perform a walk-through of the rental home to be certain no damage occurred during your stay. Whenever possible, do this walk-out review with the property manager present. If the property manager is not available, make sure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a blast? Many rental management company sites request testimonials after your stay . Owners and property managers will thank you for favorable critiques. If something went wrong, we suggest being pleasant but straightforward with regards to rental experience. Top property owners and managers will try very hard to fix the situation.

Iterate

Hold a vacation recap meeting with your travel companions. Did they feel about the rental home? Hopefully this guide steered you to a fantastic vacation home. Otherwise, you have gained invaluable rental search experience that will help with another search.
