The Lazy Lookout has the ideal location for everybody! It has beautiful vistas of the ocean and Ocean Crest Pier. Right across the street from the 9th street beach access, which accepts you to step onto the beach in 30 seconds :) Also, the home is located right across the street from the 9th street walkway which is by far my favorite spot to watch the sunset and the Davis Canal!

The home itself has a handsome front porch with a porch swing and rocking chairs, the ideal coffee spot for your friends and family! The crowd favorite is your own personal bar, The Lazy Lookout Parlor. This unique outdoor area comes with a full-sized refrigerator, an ice machine, and even a 60 inch intelligent TV.

Also, we have included surfboards, body boards, loads of sand toys, and beach games to make sure you get the most out of Oak Island! There is also complimentary wifi, intelligent tv's, and board games for when you want to relax inside. We ask that you bring your own sheets and towels or there is an option to add linen services 30 days before your arrival. The linen service includes fresh sheets and towels for the price of $150. If you find that during your stay you need fresh clothes or towels there is a laundry room downstairs for your use. It is supplied with laundry detergent and dryer sheets! Our Kitchen is entirely outfitted with everything you might need! However, we do not have a dishwasher, but plan on adding that next winter. Our number one goal is for you to have one of the best vacations yet, and to feel completely at home!

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. When to visit Oak Island & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses.   • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
