Mandolin Wind is a clean, comfortable and beautiful home located 3 blocks from the beach a mere 5-7 min. walk. No need to rent a golf cart or waste precious time looking for paid parking. Appreciate the beach and then relax on the impressive screened in back porch, watch ROKU TV, or head out to find the best food the Island has to offer.

Our back yard is roomy and includes an outdoor shower, BBQ grille, patio table and chairs. Inside you will find all the amenities of home including a full kitchen, a giant island with seating, and a sizable dining table. Mandolin Wind is on a peaceful street with year-round neighbors, tucked beneath some shade trees while still providing full sun in areas. This ranch style home is on one level, no flights of stairs to climb.

Within walking distance you will find eateries, pubs, a taco stand, BBQ, Publix, and Middleton park for summer concerts and farmers market. The new skateboard park is right down the street. Just a short drive to Dairy Queen, microbreweries, a wine shop, beach stores, local craft stores & eclectic gift stores and so much more. A boat ramp is just 6 blocks away.

About the Area

This vacation home is located in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Kure Beach and Caswell Beach. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting.

  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
