House Rules
-No family pets
-No smoking on the property premises (including inside the unit, in the stairwell, on the deck/patio, or on the property grounds). Violating this rule will cause a $500 additional cleaning fee.
-No events or events
-Must be at least 25 years old to book
-The HOA must have access to the unit the first Thursday of every month for a routine pest control treatment. This is typically in the morning but potentially could be variable. It should only take a few mins.. If there are no guests present at the time of their arrival, then the HOA/pest crew shall have the right to use a code to enter and treat the unit and will lock up afterwards. If they are not allowed entrance, I am charged a $75 fee and that will be passed on to you.

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is on the beach. Carolina Beach Boardwalk is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Carolina Beach Arcade and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.

When to go & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
