Steps from the Riverwalk, complimentary parking, and historic charm make this unbeatable location the ideal space for a modest group or couple's getaway while you appreciate all Wilmington has to offer!
The Space:
Welcome to the Snipes- Taylor House, part of Historic Downtown Wilmington. The main entrance to the home is through the front door on the enormous front porch! While the entrance is shared with the upstairs unit, the front porch is a private space for you to use during your stay!
Once inside the entry, you will enter the unit via a door on the left with its own keyless entry. You will enter into the roomy living room that is full of historic charm, a comfortable fireplace, and Intelligent TV. This room is also equipped with a sleeper couch for bigger groups!
As you walk towards the back of the home you will pass a sizable dining room that is great for dinner or a game nighttime! The two bedrooms are across from there, both equipped with queen sized beds and plenty of storage. A desk is also available for a remote workspace in one of the rooms!
Right before the kitchen you pass the full bathroom and in-unit laundry. The kitchen is very spacious, completely supplied for all your cooking needs, and has a gas range!
There is an access to the back deck off the kitchen. The back deck is entirely shaded with seating for you to sit back and relax. From the deck you can access the shared backyard. Here you will find some outdoor dining and a gas grille for enjoying evenings after a long day of hitting the town!
About the Area
Located by the sea, this vacation home is in Northside, a neighborhood in Wilmington. Carolina Heights and Cape Fear Museum are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit The Cotton Exchange and Mayfaire Town Center. Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews and Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts are also worth visiting. Kayaking and scuba diving offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and ecotours nearby.
