Sensational rental home on Oak Island beach.
Sleeps 13 comfortably. 1 king, 2 queens, 4 twin XL bunk beds(2 bunk beds), 1 twin bunk trundle that pulls out from under the bunk, 1 pullout queen sleeper couch, and a pack and play. The king bed and Queen in the elevator are opulent Kingsdown. I made the bunk beds personally out of solid wood and fasteners. I wanted the twin xl so that taller people can have enough room. All of the Twin XL beds. Two and a half baths. Master bath has shower and Jacuzzi tub. Main floor has has shower tub. There is a private shower under the home to clean up.

The kitchen and wet bar were refreshed March 2021. The kitchen has a stove, dishwasher, air fryer, blender, and griddle. We have pots, pans, silverware, plates, wine glasses, wine bottle opener, and just about everything you need to prepare all your meals and savor your drinks. The refrigerator is new in 2024 now with filtered water and ice. We have a coffee maker that does a standard drip pot, single serve, and Kcup option. The wet bar has a drink refrigerator that can store wine and beer. We have a propane grille with two tanks, but don't guarantee propane is available.
Lay in the sun on the deck or rock in the shade while still getting the wind from the beach. The deck has covered and uncovered space with rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and lounge chairs. There is a private deck on the master to watch the stars or see the sun come up.
We have videos on you tube that walk through the home and how to operate the elevator.
Please note bookings are 7 nights Saturday-Saturday from May 13-Oct 20 2023 and May 11-Oct 11 2024.
Technology and Entertainment
All bedrooms have a TV and USB chargers on the nightstands. The living room TV is 55 inch. We have Focus Fiber internet 500MB up and down which is super fast. All TVs have AndroidTV devices which have trendy streaming apps like Netflix, Youtube, HBO Max, Amazon prime etc. with the option to Chromecast. All TVs also have an antenna with ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and CW. There is room under the home for 1 car. There is a Tesla Electric Car Car Charger under the home that is complimentary for guests. The driveway is rock and has room for 2-3 cars. All exterior locks have digital keypads. This accepts self check-in, make entry even easier for all guests with no having to manage a key, and is safer because the codes are unique and limited to your stay. Our top Oak Island rental home booking tips and tricks:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Southport area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting and booking a perfectrental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Tropic like Its Hot Oak Island Oceanfront House, Tropic Like Its Hot Oak Island- Beach Front has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
