Welcome to Janet’s Retreat

Our family beach bungalow is filled with decades of appreciate, laughter, and memories, and we’re honored to share it with you. My parents worked hard, and weekends at the beach made everything worthwhile. My mom always said she left her worries on the mainland—no troubles allowed on the island. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ve found the right place.

Location & Outdoor Living

Janet’s Retreat is located on the third row, just a short and simple walk to the beach.
• Walk down the deck steps, turn right, and appreciate a straight, 200–300 foot walk to the public beach access
• The beach walkway has been freshly rebuilt and is handicap accessible
• A partially covered deck on the beach side lets you relax in the shade or soak up the sun all day
• Outdoor shower — the best shower on the property and a guest favorite

The Space

The home features an open, airy great room where everybody can gather, prepare, dine, and relax together.

Sleeping Arrangements (3 Bedrooms):
• Master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom
• One bedroom with a queen bed
• One bedroom with two twin beds
• Second full bathroom located in the hallway

Additional Highlights:
• Well-supplied kitchen (just like Mom kept it)
• Plenty of family games for evenings together
• White bed linens and white bath towels included

Beach Gear & Extras

The storage room below the home is outfitted with:

• Beach chairs and a Shibumi Sun Shade
• Bicycles
• Boogie boards and rafts

Guests will receive a key code for painless access to this space.

Guest Access & Parking
• Driveway parking plus additional street parking
• Full access to all upstairs living areas
• Two owner closets are locked and not accessible to guests

Accessibility-Friendly Features

Because my father lived with Parkinson’s, the home includes thoughtful details that senior guests really savor:
• Shower chair
• Bed rail and grab bars in bathroom
• All main living areas are on one level

After booking, you’ll receive my personal cell number and are welcome to call or text anytime. We also have a trusted local resident available in case of emergencies.
