Beach-combing is just a hop and 2 block skip away and sun-seeking is an Ocean BREEZE from one of the homes multiple balconies. Sun, Surf, and BEACH await you on your CB adventure!

THE SPACE

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, our "max. capacity" and restricted parking options will always limit the number of visitors who can both rent on and visit our Island! It’s a family-aligned beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The home lies directly in the middle of the North End of Carolina Beach and is a long walk or short drive from downtown Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a enormous inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and savor yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

Take the staircase or private elevator to the first floor which features a kids room (bedroom #1) with TWO (2) Twin over Twin bunk beds with a pair of additional trundles sharing a "Jack and Jill" bath (bathroom #1 w/ tub + shower combo) with bedroom #2 with a Queen bed. Master bedroom #1 (bedroom #3) with a Queen bed and its own Eastward facing private balcony has its own ensuite private bath with a jetted tub and walk-in shower stall (bathroom #2).

Take the elevator up to the next level where Master bedroom (#2) with a Queen size bed, a private Eastern facing balcony, and ensuite bathroom (#3) with a walk-in shower. ANOTHER master bedroom ( bedroom #4) with a Queen size bed awaits down the hall with Western vistas and its own private ensuite bathroom (bathroom # 4 w/ shower+tub combo).

Take your personal elevator up to the top floor where a really remarkable space awaits! A modern kitchen that's furnished with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and a mini-bar reside amongst other opulent upgrades. Behind you sits another half bath (Bathroom #5). Back through the hallways sits the family room complete with a fireplace and intelligent TV for entertaining, along with a final balcony complete with "peek-a-boo" vistas of the Atlantic!

The home's TWO (2) Twin bunk sets with TWO (2) trundles and FOUR (4) Queen beds consist of either a plush luxury bed or a new encased memory foam/cooling gel bed because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge!

There are Intelligent TV's in EVERY bedroom and living room along with a WIFI computer connection (bring your own login info to use for the supplied APPS) for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or other such casting device if looking to ensure all of the tech amenities from home are available during your stay!

NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island.

"All you can BEACH" sits directly across the street from the ICWW and is under a two block walk to the nearest beach access! The home itself is short ride or long walk from Downtown Carolina Beach with its stores, activities and dining. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday nighttime, Movies at the lake each Sunday nighttime, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and visitors all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun.

Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more calming and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

GETTING AROUND

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Units @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

GUEST ACCESS

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (3-4) assigned carport parking spaces (dependent upon car size!. Parking elsewhere on premises or along the street can result in a tow.

•Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time appreciating themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella, and chair units, Salty Dog Yoga, Squared Away Cleaning and Maintenance, Rise N' Shine Cleaning, and Beachside Express Services. Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing.

•Linens (sheets, bath towels, beach towels, wash cloths, floor towels, pillowcases, etc.) along with pillows and a summer comforter ARE included in your suite rental! Prior to departure, please assist our linen team by beginning a load before hitting to road!

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

• SWRE contractual peaceful hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an delightful experience.

•There is a $100 non-returnable pet fee for each approved pup, up to a 3 pup/$300 max. Cats are not allowed on premises. If inquiring about a different pet request, please ask! Animals are NEVER allowed on ANY furnishings items and should be crated when possible.

•April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher accepts dogs on leash on the beach 24/7. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an awareness as to which beach you are on at all times!

•Any interactions between your furry son or daughter and other neighbors (animal OR human) are completely at your discretion (and *liability). Please be a responsible pup owner and protect yourselves and others as may be necessary!
•Pups are NEVER allowed on any furnishings. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.)
•Be sure to use a broom or vacuum if your buddy sheds in excess.
•Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment.
•ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh.
•If maintenance needs to visit, ENSURE your pup is put in their respective kennels.
•If the home/apartment has an outdoor shower, please use it to rinse off your pup after a day of fun. Not only will that help to prevent a potential plumbing call but a clean pup is much less likely to result in a post stay charge.

INTERACTIONS WITH GUESTS

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, while Carolina Beach Boardwalk and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are popular area attractions. Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School and Tregembo Animal Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

• The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
• Summer is the most expensive season in Carolina Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
• Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
• Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the perfect vacation home:

• Select your dates and budget.
• Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. “All YOU can BEACH!” ICWW and ATLANTIC Views, PUP friendly, and an Elevator! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rental home search.
• Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If not, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
• Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
• Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Know before you go:

• Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
• Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
• Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
• Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
• Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Did you have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
