How to book the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Atlantic Sunrise has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
