Rental booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing and booking a perfect Southport rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Seascape Studio : Beach Retreat has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
