Booking the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Southport area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • Select vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Luxury New Home: Ocean and City Light View Home + Steps to Restaurants sleeps 6 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
