Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Caswell Beach, while Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights. Get the most from your rental home budget:

• The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
• Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

Advice for your stay:

• Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
• Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
• To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
• Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
