Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Southport restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Southport area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. E-Sea Living by the sea has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
