Spring time at the beach is approaching! We've got all the things you need for a calming time close to the beach & downtown, as well as the ambiance of your own fire pit for those cool evenings. Our camper is a vintage 1973 Holiday Vacationer (very fitting, huh?), & provides comfort, sustainable luxury, & a great photo-op! Located 15 mins. from Wrightsville Beach, 13 mins. from downtown, & just behind a 1.3 mile walking/cycling trail, & playground for kids.

The Holiday Homestead is designed to provide a unique hideaway while also taking care of the environment. We offer an indoor shower & outdoor shower, modest kitchenette, a well designed odor complimentary composting toilet, mini refrigerator, queen bed, and futon couch bed. There is an AC unit for the summer, as well as a fantastic space heater for the fall/winter months. We provide you with shampoos/conditioners/soaps that are all biodegradable, and a fantastic guidebook with how to use everything in the glamper.

There's a garden in the yard from which there might be fun fruits/veggies you can pick from to eat, and simple access to Smith Creek Park and just mins. to the beach. Feel complimentary to borrow our kayak at the park (just let us know so we can get you all set up with it). There is also a fire pit for those nice fall or springtime evenings.

This is a great little space to rest your head after an impressive concert in downtown Wilmington, or a long day at the beach! If you are interested in a later check out, or earlier check in please reach out to ask, it really just all depends on if we have more guests coming in right after you etc. Feel complimentary to message us and we'd be happy to let you know.

When you arrive there will be a guestbook and a guidebook waiting on your bed. Feel complimentary to sign the guestbook, and use the guidebook to understand all the nitty gritty of the camper and all the fun Wilmington spots.

We also have an additional outdoor office space that has a pull down Murphy bed that could be available to rent for an additional fee, just message us and we’d be happy to add that on so you can have more people stay with you.

For longer monthly stays we will supply you with your start of coffee and toilet paper but once you run out you are expected to provide your own. Also during monthly stays we will be coming in weekly at least to empty out the composting toilet or as needed. Thank you!

Finding the best Southport rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Glamping near the Beach - Book the Holiday Homestead Today! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
