Looking for the BEST of Bald Head? Look no further than Two Vistas. With mesmerizing vistas of both the Atlantic AND Bald Head’s calming marsh AND appealingly located across from East Beach, close to the Shoals Club, Cape Fear Station and the Conservancy AND located on BHI’s private, esteemed Middle Island-this five-bedroom, 5.5 bath executive getaway offers the first-class lifestyle you are looking for in the ideal island vacation home! This haven’s true wraparound covered porch faces the water in the front-ideal for savoring seascapes and salty breezes from your rocking chair. Linger here or watch the wetland’s wildlife from the serene back porch dining area. If you’re looking for sun, this level’s outdoor living space also includes a bright conversation zone with a sectional couch and lounges-ideal for tanning and fun. Inside this reverse-floor-plan you’ll find a huge open central hall boasting warm, planked hardwoods and charming wainscoting. This roomy space homes a sitting area-great for family movies or games-and a quieter spot alluring for a good book (or a fast nap!). Off this hall are five roomy bedrooms. The two front bedrooms are airy King suites with multiple sliding doors, ocean perspectives, porch access, sizable closets and their own private full bath ensuites. The third bedroom, extending handsome estuary vistas and back porch egress, is furnished with a Queen and two bunk beds and also enjoys its own full bath. A Queen bed is also in the fourth bedroom, which opens onto the side porch and uses the full hall bath located just outside its door. Down a hall, the private King Owner's suite is highlighted by an entire wall of windows overlooking Bald Head Creek as well as porch access, a considerable closet and a pampering private full bath ensuite. The laundry is also on this level.

Upstairs, the open floor plan is topped by a beamed tri-vaulted ceiling and showcases spectacular panoramas on each end. To the East, the ocean shimmers through a wall of glass. Relish it inside from the comfortable great room gathering space, accentuated by crafted constructed-ins or step out onto the top front porch and revel in the breaking waves’ lullabies. Back inside, the substantial chef’s kitchen features granite counters, an island with a prepare top as well as a breakfast bar seating four, high-end stainless appliances, double ovens, a very generous pantry and plenty of storage and cooking accoutrements. Just beyond, the handsome dining area is home to a sizable, bespoke table that seats twelve and is accented by a designer hutch and appealing fireplace. However, what steals the show here is the enchanting perspectives of Bald Head’s marsh-through the back wall of glass-spotlighting sightlines all the way to Old Baldy. You’ll appreciate sunset vistas from here, inside or out on this floor’s back porch.

Tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect rental home in the Southport area:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Looking for the BEST of Bald Head? Look no further than Two Views. has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
