This property accepts up to one dog per reservation year-round.

Marina 1 is located just steps away from local favorite eateries Joseph's Italian Bistro and Rusty Hooks Dockside Grille that both feature vistas of the Intracoastal Waterway.

This coastal getaway is a one-min. drive or a short walk to Dutchman Creek park, which is equipped with plenty of shoreline, impressive vistas and a playground for the little ones, as well as public bathrooms. Just a few more yards up the road you will find the public boat ramp where you can launch your boat for the day and leave your trailer for safekeeping while out on the water. Keep heading up Fish Factory Road to Bill Smith Park where you will find a public kayak launch, dog park and soccer fields. Want to sneak in a round of golf? Head to the Oak Island Par Three Course just one min. up the road. After a fun-filled day, you can use the community picnic tables for an outdoor dinner located between the property and Rusty Hooks along the wall of the marina.

Located just off the Intracoastal Waterway, Marina 1 is just a seven-min. drive across the G.V. Barbee Bridge to the soft sand Oak Island has to offer and 12 mins. to local stores and eateries in downtown Southport.

This home features three porches, which allow plenty of room to relax outside and appreciate the sea breeze. The open living area is located around a flat-screen TV and mantel (please note the fireplace is not available for guest use). Located in Southport, this vacation home is near the beach. Scuba diving and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and cycling nearby.

Find your best deal:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Oak Island. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Southport attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses.   • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation.
