A short and straight walk to the beach with no side streets or busy traffic! This newly constructed 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home on OKI has all the amenities and space you've been searching for! Highlights include a reverse and open floor plan, opulent finishes with a coastal vibe throughout, and 4 covered porches for calming and entertaining outside. Here, you're only a fast walk from the grocery store, stores, eateries (Salt 64, Pelican Seafood, and Back 2 Shuckers!), ice cream, and even miniature golf and the arcade! Plus, you're more than welcome to use the beach gear — like chairs and a wagon — for the short walk to the sandy shore.

Upon walking into the great room and kitchen, one of the first things you'll notice is how bright and airy this space is! The vaulted ceilings and windows allow for an abundance of natural light. The main living room is elegantly decorated with a sizable flatscreen TV and modern, coastal-themed furnishings. The broad kitchen is well-equipped and features a huge center island with bar seating, quartz countertops, a high-end gas range, stainless steel appliances, bespoke cabinetry, and all the supplies needed to prepare a meal for your group. This floor also has a half bathroom and a formal dining space with seating for 8. The first covered porch is off the kitchen and faces due West for handsome sunset vistas over the wetlands. The second covered deck is massive and features an outdoor dining table that seats up to 8 people.

The vaulted ceilings continue into the master bedroom, where you will find a extravagant king bed, enormous flatscreen TV, and ensuite bathroom with double vanity and a cavernous walk-in shower. Heading downstairs, you'll find all 4 of the guest bedrooms on the first floor. With 3 queen bedrooms, each with a flatscreen TV, this is the ideal home for multiple couples traveling together or a multi-generational family. Two of the queen bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom outfitted with modern fixtures and a tub/shower combination. The last queen bedroom shares a roomy Jack and Jill bathroom with the bunk bed bedroom (twin size bed on top, double size bed on the bottom).

There are two covered porches that can be accessed from downstairs as well, one on the front with rocking chairs to appreciate your morning coffee, and the other with a private wooded view; both have stairs to the ground floor. Under the home, you'll find all the beach gear, a gas grille, and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after a long day at the beach. With so many amenities, like cable, wireless internet and hotel-quality linens, this Oak Island vacation rental will have you and your family or group coming back year after year.

Please Note: Linens are included with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bed sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

We know you want to relax without any stops at the store when you get to the island. To get you started, we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner.

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Reserve your Southport vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Home with a Partial Ocean View & Reverse Floor Plan. Carolina in my Mind has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
