Let's talk about location! This gem is located on the peaceful street of Cape Fear Trail right where South Beach and West Beach meet. Not only does our private boardwalk lead you to miles of unspoiled beaches, but we also have a private pool plus hot tub right in our own backyard! There is really no need to leave this ideal vacation spot. The main living area is cavernous including a living room, sunroom (tons of seating areas!), dining area and upsized, well outfitted kitchen! Savor the colorful sunsets from the main living area that is filled with floor to ceiling windows or appreciate a glass of wine on the broad decks overlooking west beach with vistas of containerships and sailboats! There are 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths in this one level home. There are two king master suites, the 3rd bedroom has 2 twins and in the 4th bedroom there is a roomy bunk room including 2 constructed-in bunk beds (PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO DOOR IN THIS ROOM). A BHI full membership including golf and shoals membership are available for a separate purchase.

About the Area

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in West Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Caswell Beach and Carolina Beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
