Booking the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Southport area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Southport restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Relax in our Charming Beach House with community pool in Summer Place at OIB! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's an individual Southport attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
