This enchanting home is located on a side street, off the beaten path, with vistas of both the ocean and the golf course. Recently modernized with a redesigned kitchen, new bathrooms and handsome new floors.
The roomy master suite has a king bed and adjoining bathroom. A second master upstairs has a king bed and a striking view of the 9th fairway. From the attached covered porch you can see past Swan Quarter to the ocean in the distance.
The third bedroom, considered the kids room, contains a pair of bunk beds. The additional room is a combination office suite by day and a bedroom by nighttime with a pullout bed that doubles as a couch. For those who can't leave work at home, there's a desk and work area. The outside has it all - screened porch, covered porch and open deck for sunbathing.

When to book & When to go:

  • To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Southport destination you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
