Summary:
Narrow Nest is located at the Sand Pebbles community in Carolina Beach. Guests savor private beach access and two community pools! The Ocean Grille and Tiki Bar is only a short walk!! The master bedroom features a queen bed while the second bedroom features a full and bunk bed. This condo has a peak-a-boo ocean view from the back patio. Super location to everything that makes CB impressive including eateries, shopping and the boardwalk!

The Space:
This unit is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. The pool is located just behind the condo. The HOA opens the pool mid April and closes typically the second week in September, depending on weather
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

The Sand Pebbles condos is a great community with two pools, private beach access with a mix of full time residents and visitors!

- Centrally located to access all outdoor activities "Pleasure Island" has to offer fishing, boating, cycling, surfing, kayaking, and deep sea charters. Many striking eateries, eclectic drinking holes and coffee stores + Historic Ft. Fisher and the NC Aquarium. Check out Carolina Beach’s new mural project too!
- Wilmington Airport and Downtown Wilmington less than 40 mins away.
- Take the ferry to appreciate Southport for the day!

There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

Carolina Beach is home to this condo. Carolina Beach Boardwalk is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Carolina Beach Arcade and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting.

Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Southport vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. The Narrow Nest @ Sand Pebbles has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Know before you go:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
