Strategies to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Southport area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Welcome to Carolina Beach! Spacious 3 bed\/3 bath near Carolina Beach State Park! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Southport beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
