2 Kings | 2 Queens | 1 Double | 2 Twins

This oceanfront home is ideal for your family or group with space to sleep up to 12 people. Savor the sounds of the ocean as you drift off to sleep in one of the five bedrooms: two bedrooms with King size beds, one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bedroom with a full size and a queen size bed, and one bedroom with a pair of twin beds. The living area and dining room overlook the ocean and have plenty of room to seat twelve at dining tables. There is room to seat four more or to serve food at the kitchen counter.

The 2020 kitchen remodel includes striking new appliances, a refrigerator with French doors, fresh new cabinets appointed with quartz countertops, granite tile backsplash, under and above cabinet LED lights, and new full height pantries with plenty of storage. In addition, there is a second refrigerator on the lower level. The laundry room has a brand-new sizable capacity washer. Two of the full-size bathrooms have new tubs and vanities. The master bathroom has a new tile shower. But the most fashionable shower is the private outdoor shower on the lower deck.

Appreciate the view of the beach from rocking chairs on the covered porch where the spectacular sunrise and sunset complete your day. Soak up some sun on the deck below or sink your toes in the sand as you walk directly from the deck out to beach. Or on a rainy day, the completely enclosed two-car garage is a great place for the kids and games. As described by one guest "this home is phenomenal and is in a great location on the island". Unwind and appreciate your stay at the Yorkshire while creating life-long family memories.

How to book the best Oak Island rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in Oak Island. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Yorkshire: Wireless internet, oceanfront porch and deck with walkway to beach. has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is best for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
