About this Property
"Beachside Suites" suite 4 managed by Dale and Salt Water Real may be just the home away from home you are looking for! "Beachside Suites" suite 4 is a 1st floor comfortable 1 bedroom condo that's just steps from our sandy shores, a brief walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!
Pleasure Island has become a RAPIDLY increasing holiday destination for the entirety of the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, “overcrowding” isn’t in of itself a monumental issue. Limited parking and available housing will always create a calming “max capacity” that will always give a peaceful (and healthy) occupancy level and mood that, despite the “hordes”, will always leave copious complimentary space for those looking for a bit more “distancing” and privacy. It’s also what is making the real unit market shoot through the roof! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The suite is located in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Come with the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a sizable inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and appreciate yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for! * (due to Covid, please be prepared for periodic deviations from our usually scheduled events).
These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world charisma, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everybody! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while visiting with us on our Island!
The entry to this 1 bedroom/1 bath suite opens up into a enormous, freshly decorated family room combined with an open dining area and cookery station. Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen. *It is important to note that it is NOT an owner’s job to give personal family items for visitors. From toiletries and linens, to community food stuffs and condiments, It is ESPECIALLY important during this current climate for any used items of another to be discarded before our new visitors arrive to ensure an optimally hygienic space
There is ONE QUEEN and ONE FULL bed on site because we want all of our visitors to be appealing when it comes time to recharge. Remember, linens are NOT supplied in order to keep our costs low. You can bring them from home with you, buy them locally, or rent them (refer to Low Tide Linens & Units). If renting, please let Low Tide know that you are a guest of SWRE as they will give you with an additional 10% discount!
There is a T.V. (with approx. 25 channels through the Charter Spectrum cable service or application) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and savor some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Come with a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or other such casting device if looking to ensure all of the tech amenities from home are available during your stay!
We equip each suite with its own books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our visitors to enjoy themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced and we do not realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know!
The outdoor shower is located on the lower left of the building to help get that sand off of those toes!
The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a respective outdoor space, patio, or balcony. Each suite can vary slightly in archetype but what’s private for each guest or is a common area for all to share IS effortlessly recognizable.
PARKING: Suites 1,2,3 and 4 will have access to (1) ONE ASSIGNED parking space in the front of the home. As the tons are self-enforced, it is within a visitors right to have any car towed that is parked in their assigned space so please park ONLY in your respective spot. Any additional community parking spaces would have availability on a first come fist serve basis. We do not recommend any lot or proprietor in particular.
Feel complimentary to reach out for any specific needs or clarifiers!

Money Saving Rental Tips
- Find the official tourism bureau in the area you wish to travel. Many official tourism bureaus will offer you promotional travel guide books with special offers for vacation rentals, dining and tours. These guides can provide an excellent start to your rental home search.
- Willing to modify your travel dates? Off-season rates are usually a fraction of top fees.
- Are you a military veteran? Plenty of property management companies offer discounted prices to vets and active-duty military. Make sure to confirm with property management company to see if your travelling crew qualifies for a reduced price.
- Some properties are particularly designed for particular groups of visitors. Event homes are perfect for weddings, receptions and corporate retreats. Some homes cater to beach bums. Other properties are positioned close to music venues. Be sure to prioritize your proximity to the activities and interesting attractions you are most looking forward to.
- Give thought to getting trip insurance together with your lease contract. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base vacation rental rate, provides buyers reimbursement of their travel expenses for any days missed as a result of health related emergencies or weather, and additionally ensuing extra hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, like an unforeseen hotel stay or extra fuel.
How to Book a Vacation Home
First-timers are likely to be shocked at the number and wide selection of short term rentals available in the Southport area. Rental accommodations have gained in popularity with the rise of essential search sites like Tripadvisor and VRBO.
Vacation homes are frequently owner operated or managed by property management companies. For property owners not directly engaged in the management of their properties, management companies are critical in helping guests with making reservations, check-in, housekeeping services, as well as repairs and maintenance issues that may arise.
Below are some tips and tactics to help you understand the vacation rental search and booking process.
How to find and book the best rental property:
Do you believe ""Beachside Suites" suite 4" is the best rental for your next trip? Look over this check list to ensure it fits all of your preferences.
The Earlier, The Better
Southport rentals start booking very early. To guarantee the very best selection of rental homes, we recommend searching and reserving your Southport rental 6-Twelve months before your travel dates, whenever you can. Holiday gatherings are a great time for family groups to plan their Summer trips..
Find your Spot and Establish Dates
Oftentimes, the most challenging part of planning your trip is choosing where to go, and when. As soon as the big decisions are hammered out, everything else is more straightforward.
Select a Size
How many family members are joining your vacation? Bear in mind that many rentals advertise maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in the living room. You will need to determine what is most appropriate for your company. Generally rental listings will outline each one of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattress sizes.
Stick to a Budget
Make sure ""Beachside Suites" suite 4" works with your budget *during your desired week*. If multiple groups or families are sharing the cost, check to make sure each group understands their obligation and has agreed to a maximum they are willing to chip in. Typically, one person in the group will be in charge of making the complete reservation and recovering each party's contribution.
Vacation home Amenities
What amenities is the group trying to find? Are you looking for a rental property with outside lounge? Are you more enthusiastic about a natural landscape or nightlife? Does the property have bikes and beach toys available for use throughout your stay? Create a list of priority amenities to guide filter your search.
Do individual members of your crew have specific needs? If wheel chair entry, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized equipment is needed, factor that into your search. Almost all property postings will include a list of amenities.
Your Puppy Deserves a Vacation, Too
Make sure you include your best friend! Even though a number of rental homes allow animal friends, guidelines and charges fluctuate per rental. Type of pet, size and breeds can be restricted. Study your contract carefully! Extra fees or deposits may be applied to your contract. When in doubt, ask the property owner and get it in writing.
Start the Search
. In addition to Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Southport local rentals" for local rental home management companies. Local property management companies pride themselves on an exceptional vacation experience.
Negotiate the Price
Re-read the description to make certain that the vacation home has everything you need. If it is lacking, the vacation rental management company may know of very similar homes that suit your style and budget..
While not true for all rental homes, many rental owners and property managers will make a deal on rates. If the rate isn't negotiable, the number of nights might be. Your greatest chance of a reduced rate is shifting to an off-season week.
Read the Agreement
Read through the complete contract and make sure you fully understand who is responsible for:
- Power bills
- Internet Connectivity
- Telephone service
- Pool Heating
- Cable and pay-per-view TV
- Cleaning Service
- Trash Pickup (and which day?)
- Maintenance (get a phone number)
- Check in & Check Out Key Exchange
- Parking Fees
Get a total that includes taxes, animal and other extra fees.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Ensure you understand the cancellation policy prior to booking. You'll probably be offered trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base rental price, can provide travellers with reimbursement of their vacation costs (and subsequent rental home costs) for any days missed due to personal hospital emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as a unforeseen hotel stay or additional gas.
Complete the Booking
Once you think you've found "the one", start the booking process. Bear in mind that most rental agreements will require a significant rental down payment and/or security deposit to protect the rental home owner.
Where to Get Help
Make sure that you get the manager's contact phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We suggest keeping the contact's information in your smart phone and wallet.
Congrats on booking your vacation home! You're on the way to a phenomenal vacation!
During your Stay
- To assure no damages are associated with your visit, create a record of any problem areas of the property. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report your observations. If there is a difference of opinion about responsibility later, having the documented problems and contact attempts will probably be very helpful.
- You may need instructions for a fireplace, Television or hot tub. Call your property manager. They are there to help. A brief phone call eliminates many hassles.
- Please remember to respect your neighbors. Locals will likely be as friendly to you as you are respectful of them. Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by visitors next to your home.
- Ask a local. Locals are a fantastic source of recommendations.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Make sure that you've packed everything. Check drawers, bath cabinetry and closets.
- Make a point to walk through the rental one last time and check for property damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever feasible (often this isn't possible).. If the property owner is not available, make sure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you enjoy your stay? Most vacation rental management companies and rental home sites make it easy for renters to offer comments. If your rental and/or property manager was excellent, they'll appreciate your positive reviews. If something went wrong, we suggest being pleasant but honest regarding your rental experience. Top owners and managers will work very hard to solve the situation.
Learn and Improve
Did they love their vacation? We hope this guide helped you find a fantastic rental home. If the property wasn't quite right, and you will better understand how to perfect your search for the next time.
